ADMISSION PROCESS

The Admission to the course of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) is strictly on the basis of merit as per online counseling to be done by Federation of Private Colleges of Education of Punjab.

The Process of Admission for each session may vary as per the notifications of Department of Higher Education, Government of Punjab

 

RULES & REGULATIONS

1.


 
Attendance: 75 percent class attendance in all the papers/practices is compulsory as per university rules. Strict action will be taken by the Principal against the irregular students and its intimation will be sent to their respective parents for information. The name of the students will be struck off from college rolls for remaining absent for more than seven days continuously.

House Test: As per university rules the college will conduct two house tests in the month of November/December and February/March. Appearance in all these tests and to obtain minimum 30 percent marks in each paper is compulsory to be eligible to appear in the final examination.
3.
 
Sessional Activities: Participation of all the students in all the activities/functions organized in the college is compulsory.
 
 

LEAVE RULES

1.

 
Leave Rules Applications for leave are entertained only on the prescribed leave application form available from the college office. Leave up to two days will be granted by the tutor. Leave for more than two days will be granted by the Principal on the recommendation of the tutor.
 

SCHOLARSHIP RULES

1.

 
As per Government of India's Post matric scholarship scheme the students belonging to schedule castes who are residents of Punjab can be awarded scholarships if their annual family income from all sources does not exceed Rs. 2.0 Lac.
2.

 
Stipend under State Harijan elfare Scheme: This can be awarded to those students who belong to the backward tribes of Punjab and whose parents income from all the sources is lsser than the income fixed by the Government.
3.
Vimukta Jati Stipend is available in the college as per Punjab Government Norms.
4.

 
Special Grant for Scheduled Caste Girls: A special grant is provided to Scheduled Caste girls who are residents of Punjab and whose annual family income from all sources does not exceed Rs. 2.5 Lac. Apart from this scholarship/stipends are provided by the Government under various schemes.
5.
Scholarships to the children of the freedom fighters and riot affected.
6.
Stipend to the children of ex-servicemen.
7.
 
Stipend to the physically handicapped students by the social welfare department. Information related to these scholarships can be had from the college office.
8.
 
Students Welfare Fund: The poor and needy students are provided financial help out of students aid fund to meet their educational expenses.
 

GENERAL RULES

1.
Smoking, Drinking and taking of any kind of intoxicants are prohibited in the college premises.
2.
Pupils and Teachers should wear simple, neat and clean dress as prescribed by the college.
3.
It is moral duty of all the students to protect the college property.
4.
Attendance in all college functions is compulsory.
5.
Fine once imposed will not be remitted.
6.
During the college timings the students cannot leave the classes to attend their guests.
7.
No relative is allowed to meet the girls without the prior permission of the Principal.
8.
No student is allowed to bring outsider in the college premises.
9.
NSS is compulsory for all the students.
10.
Ragging is strictly banned.
11.
Mobile Phones are strictly banned inside the campus.
12.
Bus Pass facility is available as per Punjab Government Rules.
 

LIBRARY RULES

Two books will be issued for 15 days to each student.

 
Each student will be issued a Library/Identity Card. The books will be issued on the card. The card is nontransferable.
If the Library card is lost, the new card will be issued on the payment of Rs. 50.00

 
If a issued book is lost by the student, He/She will have to pay an amount equal to the price of the book and the fine (in addition) till the day of the information to the librarian.

FEES & SECURITY

The Fees for admission to the course of B.Ed. will be applicable strictly as described by the Punjab Government/Punjabi University, Patiala. The Security amount taken from the students will be refunded after the completion of the session.

Presently the total fees & funds amount to Rs. 40000/ per annum. These may change as per further notifications of Punjab Government or Punjabi University, Patiala.
